Rachel & Brad | The Providence Biltmore Wedding Providence, RI

There are times in this industry where we meet clients and we just know right off the batt that we're going to be best of friends with them afterwards. Not because they love our work, not because they love who we are but because we just click together. When I met Rachel & Brad, I knew that we would be the best friends and that their wedding would be nothing short of magical. Boy was I right.

To the day of where we started the day photographing Rachel getting ready in The Biltmore's suite, to their amazing and breathtaking first look, and their ballroom, black tie reception - Everything was absolutely perfect. These two seriously know how to throw a party. Everyone was on the dance floor that night! Their band Decades by Dezyne, gave us the best music to groove to. I'm pretty sure I was shaking my booty in the corner all night.

Not only did Rachel & Brad know how to throw a good party but they we're amazing friends throughout this whole experience.  This past weekend Jenn and I had a family emergency come up and Rachel was sure to text me today and make sure everything was ok. Its clients like Rachel & Brad that make me smile and happy to do this. Thank you both for such an amazing time, for being loving, kind and caring and for choosing us to capture your special day.

For now, here's a sneak peek of Rachel & Brad's wedding:

Anthony & Amanda | The Villa Wedding East Bridgewater, MA

Anthony, Amanda and I met last summer and instantly clicked. I remember when I walked them out of our apartment, I got a phone call 5 min later from Amanda (who was still in our parking lot) She said "Yeah, I love you and don't want anyone else to photograph our day" . I smiled from ear to ear. These two were amazing to get to know over the course of a year. Their wedding was nothing short of that either. The rain might've forced us to have the ceremony inside, but we did manage to sneak outside to take some beautiful photos. I couldn't be happier with how they've turned out and can't wait to show you more! For now I hope you all enjoy this sneak peek of Amanda & Anthony's beautiful day :)

Peter & Anna | A backyard wedding

Last month, Jenn and I thought we'd have the month off and free from all the wedding madness. That was until Peter emailed me and told me about his backyard wedding that he was planning just a few weeks away. At first, their thought was to DIY everything they could. They soon realized that their wedding photos are the only thing that they'll have leftover and that's a bit scary to leave in the hands of a friend or family member. Plus - they wanted everyone to enjoy their day, especially their guests.

Peter is a screen writer, and Anna a teacher. I quickly got to know these two and their story. I was blown away at how much these two were in love. I get to meet a lot of couples and all of them truly are in love but Peter & Anna we're on a whole new level. They were madly in love with one another and it was so infectious and inspirational. I look up to these two and the story they've already created. They're each other's best friend, confidant, and lover. Their day was something I was looking forward to all month. It was so special, intimate and just plain perfect. I'll stop talking and let the photos speak for themselves.

Thank you both for allowing me to be apart of your special day and capture it in a true document format. You are amazing and I can't wait to show you the rest!

Kaylah & Josh | Engagement Session in Lincoln, RI

Whenever a couple tells me they're adventurous, I jump at the opportunity to do something fun for their photos. One thing I mention to them all the time is that these photos should feel like them. It shouldn't be posed and fake. If you don't go to the beach, why are we going to take your photos on the beach? If you're not city people why would we go downtown and take your engagement session photos there? I encourage couple's to always choose a spot or a location that means something to them, or at least gives them an opportunity to do something they love.

Josh & Kaylah love to hike and be outdoors. We spoke about doing a session at their favorite hiking spot in New Hampshire but then decided we could probably get that same look and feel someplace closer. I think we hit it right on the nail. Lincoln Woods provided the perfect backdrop to what is now some of my favorite Lovebird Session photos. I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek into their love story.

Aubrey & Luke | Engagement session in Newport, RI

Sometimes when I speak to couples over the phone for the first time, they spend some time chatting about our conversation and services with their family & friends. Understandably since choosing a wedding photographer isn't an easy decision. However for Aubrey & Luke as soon as they saw my site, they knew they wanted to book me. After a few emails we even planned their engagement session for the week they booked! This never happens!

Aubrey & Luke we're so excited for their lovebird session and I can totally see why! These two were so in love and adorable - even at 5am! We braved the time and woke up super early to head out to Newport, RI and capture their story with early morning walks on the beach, wine at 6am, and of course breakfast ;)

I had such a great time and I can't wait to see Aubrey & Luke again. Here's just a snippet of their lovebird session! Enjoy!

With love,
Ryan

Justine & Jeffrey | Wannamoisett Country Club Wedding

This past month I had the pleasure to photograph these two. After many dinners together and lots of good laughs, it was finally time to capture the next chapter in their story together. I had such a blast. These two seriously know how to throw an amazing party. Their bridal party and family made it extra fun too. I hope you all enjoy a sneak preview into Justine & Jeffrey's wedding!  I can't wait to show you more but for now...

Lauren & Josh: Quidnessett Country Club Wedding

Here we go! It's the very first wedding blog of 2017! Who's excited to see a sneak preview into Lauren & Josh's beautiful day? I know I am! I was so excited to photograph their story way back when they first booked me last year. We quickly got to know one another, had an awesome Lovebird Session and before you know it we were at their beautiful day, smiling ear-to-ear and having a great time.

Their wedding was at the amazing Quidnessett Country Club, a venue that I actually never had the chance to photograph at. However, I believe that gave me the advantage and a fresh eye! We had a blast with their wedding party, their family (especially Lauren's grandma who was on the floor from start to finish with some AWESOME dance moves), and their friends. Lauren & Josh sure know how to throw a party. Jenn and I even got on the dance floor and shared a few dances with everyone! We had a blast but more importantly, they had a blast and their photographs clearly show that.

I can't wait to show everyone the rest but for now, here's a sneak preview!

With love,
Ryan

RI Family Portraits: The Silvia Family

I just love it when I get to photograph families. It brings me back to a few years ago when I started this business. All I photographed were portraits and families. Capturing their special relationship with one another and their family as a whole has always made me smile behind the camera, and Brittany's family wasn't any different.

I've known Brittany since high school. We graduated together, and she was actually one of the first ever people to be photographed by me. I was able to capture her senior portrait :) So we go way back! When she contacted me about a family portrait session, I was beyond excited! We decided to go with a beach session and prayed to God that it wouldn't rain and we finally got lucky one day this month!

I hope you all enjoy. I think you can definitely tell how much fun we had with this session :)
